§01 What this covers
This is what happens to information you give us, or that we collect about you, when you visit alactic.net or engage us as a client. It applies to everyone (visitors, prospects, and active clients) alike.
§02 What we collect
- Contact form submissions: the name, email address, project type, and message you send through the form on our home page.
- Server logs: your IP address, the pages you requested, your user agent, and timestamps, retained up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention.
- Bot-protection signals: Cloudflare Turnstile collects browser-environment data to verify you're human. We don't see this data directly. It stays with Cloudflare.
- Project data: anything you share with us under an engagement (briefs, content, access credentials, etc.).
We don't run cross-site analytics, drop tracking cookies, or build advertising profiles on visitors.
§03 What we do with it
- Contact-form data is delivered to our internal Discord channel so we can read and reply.
- Server logs get reviewed only when something looks wrong (errors, abuse, attacks).
- Project data is used only to do the work you've hired us for.
§04 Who else sees it
We use a small set of vendors to keep the lights on:
- Cloudflare: proxies our hosting and runs Turnstile bot checks.
- Discord: where new contact-form briefs land internally.
- Google Fonts: serves the typefaces on this site.
- Whichever email provider routes mail you send to [email protected].
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal data with anyone. Ever.
§05 Cookies
We don't set our own analytics or advertising cookies. Some embedded services (Cloudflare Turnstile) may set strictly necessary first-party cookies for security purposes. Those are essential to the function of the site and aren't used to track you.
§06 How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages: retained in our Discord history indefinitely. Email us to have yours deleted.
- Project data: kept for the duration of the engagement plus 12 months for accounting and warranty support, then deleted on request.
- Server logs: rotated out within 90 days.
§07 Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you.
- Correct or delete it.
- Stop using it for any specific purpose.
- Hand you a copy in a portable format.
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy request" and we'll get back within 30 days. No password gymnastics required.
§08 Children
Our services aren't directed at people under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has shared data with us, email us and we'll remove it.
§09 Changes to this policy
When our practices change, this page changes too. The last-updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes get a clearer heads-up by email if you're an active client.
